Good advice, but there are many other things that go into starting a successful business. First off, the problem you solve HAS to align with your interests/passions. Otherwise, you will never make it through the hard times; and there are always hard times. Second, you have to be a good time manager, money manager, people manager. Third, there has to be a decent market for it. If you solve a problem related to ornamental design flaws of the Japanese glass tulip bulb, you will likely not make a lot of money. My point being, there are a LOT of variables that go into being a successful entrepreneur besides just identifying a problem and solving it. If it were only that easy.
